The Areas Of Research Identified Are As Under

  • A research project on enzymatic browning in Raisin.
  • Studies are suggested on "Vineyard efficiency Analysis". A region wise information will be collected on variety, Root stock, Age, Yield etc. A questionnaire will be prepared and the information collected will be complied.
  • The grape gardens grown in saline, saline sodic and sodic soils will be surveyed for identifying the threshold levels. The quality of irrigation water will also determined. A suitable technique for reclamation of sodicity will be suggested.
  • The long term experiment will be conducted to study the relative performance of root stock viz 110-R, Bangalore Dogride, R-140, 1103P, Ramsay and SO4 in different sodicity level.
  • Studies on partial Root drying.
  • Studies on pink berry disorder will be undertaken.
  • A problem of mealy bug control in grape vine will be planned for P. G. Students, using chemical biological and mechanical practices.
  • Eco-friendly management of Downy Mildew.
  • Internal browning in Table Grapes.
  • Rachis and stem drying in colour grape – Sharad Seedless, Flame Seedless, Red Globe, Thompson Seedless.
  • Microbial load in Raisin.
  • Chemical Thinning in Thompson Seedless.
